Tuesday Fun Runs

Every Tuesday at 5:30pm, rain or shine, join fellow active-minded individals for a low-key, high-fun jaunt starting here at Heart and Sole Sports. Runs average about 4-5 miles, with options to cut them down in length as well. Afterwards come stretch, rehydrate, and hang out with your fellow runners at our store. All abilities welcome, and there is no cost to join. Just come and run!

    Santa Rosa Half

  • Santa Rosa Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K, Sunday, August 29th

    Last year, Santa Rosa hosted its first marathon and half-marathon ever, and this year's looks to be bigger and better! The word is spreading, so expect much larger fields, more excitement, and a great new event, a 5K, for those who want to participate but not run 13.1 or 26.2 miles.   • Fitch Mountain Footrace, Sunday, June 13th

    Led by former Heart and Sole employee Vojta Ripa, nearly 300 runners completed this year's Fitch Mountain Footrace! The runners started and finished at the Historic Downtown Plaza, then were able to hang out and enjoy a day in the wine country with great restaurants, world class wineries and the beautiful Russian River.   • Spring Has Sprung, Sunday, May 23rd

    The Lake County Milers premiere event was once again a great success! For results and info on our awesome club in Lake County, check out the Lake County Milers!

     

  • Sonoma Valley Footrace and Festival, Saturday, May 22nd

    Once again, challenging 10k run through stunning scenery, both on- and off-road that ist he Sonoma Valley Footrace was completed with flying colors. Runners got to pass lakes and run through woods in the hills above Sonoma. There was also a less challenging 5K course which also winds through the beautiful grounds of the center on mostly level pavement.   • Heart and Sole Elite Mile, Friday, May 7th

    The first annual Heart and Sole Elite Mile, while not bringing a sub-4 to Sonoma County, was a huge success! Full information on this great community event can be found on it's own page: Heart and Sole Elite Mile!

     

  • Keep the Tour 10k, Sunday, April 25th

    Runners and walkers of all abilities joined the widespread effort and campaign to help the Amgen Tour of California continue to be a successful and integral part of our Santa Rosa community by running in the inaugural Keep the Tour 10K Fun Run. Proceeds were donated to the fund raising pool to help Santa Rosa retain stage 2 in the 2010 Amgen Tour of California.

  • Durability/Performance Enhancement Exercises to Supplement Endurance Training Clinic

    Dr. Alec Isabeau, D.C., offered this clinic for any and all endurance athletes. A lifelong runner who has worked to keep running through injury, Dr. Isabeau sharee Five Durability/Performance Enhancement Exercises to Supplement Endurance Training to help athletes can stay nimble, whatever their sport.

  • Save a Turkey Trot
  • Congrats to all those who Turkey-Day off right by running or walking 5k to celebrate our feathery friends at Sebastopol's second annual Save a Turkey Trot! In honor of the top three male and female finishers, turkeys were adopted from the Farm Sanctuary.

     

  • Wine Country Half Marathon
  • The second annual Wine Country Half Marathon once again wound itself through the beautiful vinyards of Healdsburg on October 31st. Wine was served both during and after the event, as should be the case next year, so mark your calendar today!

     

  • Crazy Creek Beer and Bratwurst Run
  • The 2009 Lake County Milers sponosored event was a great success. Check out pictures and results at their website and look to join the fun next October.

  • Sonoma County Harvest Fair
  • The results are in, and it comes as no surprise that the 31st running of this event was a blast! Look to join in the fun come fall 2010.

  • The Santa Rosa Marathon and Half Marathon
  • This inaugural event was such a huge success that registration had to re-open after maximum capacity was reached, only to sell out yet again. So you better plan early as the 2010 edition should be even bigger!
